Even with good brushing, tartar builds up where the brush can't reach and leads to bleeding gums, bad breath and eventually loose teeth. Professional cleaning removes it safely with ultrasonic scaling and polishing.
Every check-up includes an oral cancer screening, cavity check and gum assessment, with a digital X-ray when needed. Deep cleaning (root planing) and gum therapy are available for advanced gum disease.

Advice
Personalised brushing/flossing tips and next visit date.
Does scaling weaken teeth?
No — this is a myth. Scaling only removes tartar; teeth may feel 'loose' briefly because the tartar that was gluing them together is gone.
Is it painful?
Usually not. Patients with very sensitive teeth or deep tartar may be offered a numbing gel.
How often should I get it done?
Every six months for most people; every 3–4 months if you have gum disease, braces or diabetes.
